My story
My journey began in Indiana, where I sold real estate and attended college before venturing into Florida’s vibrant real estate market. After a brief hiatus running a gluten-free bakery (because why not?), I’m back doing what I love most—real estate. My husband, David, and I have been top agents, closing an average of 100 homes a year. We now split our time between the sunny shores of Santa Rosa Beach, FL, and the charming town of Elkhart, IN, all while raising our two-year-old twins.
One of our proudest achievements came when we listed a property on Airbnb that no other management company in Santa Rosa Beach wanted to touch. They all said it would be lucky to gross $9,000-$17,000 a year. Undeterred, we decided to manage it ourselves, applying our unique management and marketing style. The result? We did it
This was the first time we realized that a well-curated home was the secret to creating a short-term rental goldmine. We had other short-term rentals in the past but this was the first one that we put heart, soul and took to an elevated experience. And we haven’t looked back since.
This tiny, old, fishing cottage was a struggling long-term rental that we remodeled, listed on Airbnb and 5x the income it was producing previously. Forever our favorite short-term rental victory story.
2022 will be a tough year to beat – it’s the year we adopted newborn twins! They are the most special little miracles that we could ever have imagined. And now, they’re the reason we do what we do – to create a future where we have financial and time freedom.
